Set of three Royal Navy tropical trade rate badges dating from circa 1975–1990. Machine-embroidered in Navy Blue on white cotton drill, these were worn on tropical uniforms during the Cold War period. The group includes:
MESM (Marine Engineering Submariner): Submarine with propeller and lightning bolts
Writer: Six-pointed star with central "W"
EW (Electronic Warfare): Missile with lightning bolts and sonar lines
Construction and design are consistent with late 20th-century Royal Navy issue. Minor fraying and handling wear present.
